Currently, we’ve shown you different bits and bobs of what Hypatia is, but it’s not just a virtual world with unlimited potential. It’s made up of each person that works for TimefireVR, bringing their talents and enthusiasm for Hypatia and the future of virtual reality. “Hypatia Is..”, a tribute to those that have had an impact on Hypatia’s development, to showcase their talents, and help you to see how much passion has gone into the project. Since middle school, Alex has wanted to be a programmer. "It's like a series of logic puzzles, and the reward is making a world come alive." In high school, that interest went towards games as "Games are able to offer the same level of experience as a book or a movie, but with the added benefit of allowing the experience to respond to you, which can make for even more captivating experiences". He studied Game Programming at the University of Advanced Technology in Phoenix, Arizona and went on to work for a number of studios including Broken Windows Studio with Tristan Moore for a period of time. Tristan recommended that Alex check out TimefireVR for a position and he's been here since. "Hypatia is awesome because it brings a new level of VR content to the platform, beyond what exists currently." Alex genuinely enjoys what he's doing here and working in virtual reality is a new challenge for him every day. "VR gives you complete immersion in the space, so much so that you may forget where you are in real life."
